About the role
When Fortune 500 businesses and new startups need supply chain solutions, they look to our industry-leading logistics experts. At Ryder, you’ll track incoming and finished goods, packaging supplies, and other materials required for warehousing and distribution of customer products. You’ll also provide accounting support regarding inventory issues. Reporting to this position are cycle counters and a clerk. The role requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to ensure activities support facility goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Track day-to-day facility inventory costs and support facility KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to consistently meet or exceed established goals, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Maintain daily reports to measure KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs.
- Develop and manage the facility cycle count program and the inventory recoup/repack/return/recycle program.
- Provide floor support to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues, and office support to I/O Coordinators and receiving/shipping personnel.
- Facilitate and execute the hold process for the local site.
- Positively influence and assist in the development of employees, including conducting periodic performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Ensure daily communications and shift meetings provide necessary information for employees to perform their jobs effectively while fostering team engagement.
- Promote positive customer relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Three or more years of manufacturing, production, or distribution inventory experience required.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
- Three or more years of PC inventory and accounting skills required.
- Three or more years of problem-solving experience; use of formal Root Cause Countermeasure Systems preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Exposure to Lean principles, systems, and tools (beginner level preferred).
- Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of OSHA required.
- DOT and Hazmat knowledge may be required based on the account (intermediate level preferred).
- APICS certification (intermediate level preferred).

Pay
Annual salary range: $85,000 – $95,000.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, day shift.
