About the role
JAM Industries, a leading distributor of consumer electronics, pro-audio equipment, and musical instruments since 1972, is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to perform essential inventory-related functions. This role supports warehouse operations to accurately process customer orders within a 24-hour window, including inventory, shipping, picking, packing, and receiving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an order picker, reach truck, sit-down counterbalance, or powered pallet jack.
- Work productively and accurately to complete assigned pick tasks.
- Accurately read and match printed model numbers, unit quantities, and locations to pick orders.
- Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.
- Move to the work as needed in a cooperative and flowing team environment.
- Complete tasks for various departments such as Inventory, Receiving, and Shipping.
Requirements
- Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse position (including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory, etc.).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scan-guns.
- Experience in Oracle WMS is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work autonomously.
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience on reach truck and order picker lifts.
- Ability to safely use a pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun, and other warehouse equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques and/or with assistance of a pallet jack.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
