About the role
Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, you will support plant operations by ensuring materials are available, vendor performance is optimized, and inventory systems are effective to drive cost efficiency and operational continuity at the Indianapolis Table Spreads/Reddi Wip (TSRW) manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply of materials supporting plant operations.
- Identify and drive cost savings and quality improvement opportunities in partnership with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and improve purchasing processes and systems to enhance data visibility, supplier performance tracking, and cost analysis.
- Analyze purchasing and supplier data (including pricing and performance metrics) to support informed decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain purchasing procedures to ensure accurate documentation and compliance for all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Oversee and coordinate shipping and receiving activities to support efficient material flow and inventory control.
- Lead stockroom organization and inventory control practices to ensure accuracy, minimize damage, and optimize material flow.
- Promote and maintain adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental standards, including active participation in safety programs and audits.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements related to materials, inventory, and supplier performance.
- Support plant initiatives and new business opportunities through timely sourcing and procurement of required materials.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working with purchasing systems, inventory tools, and supplier management processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- A high school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Physical Requirements

Pay
Pay Range: $51,000 - $67,000
