Inventory Coordinator and Runner

About the role

Maintain accurate records of all inventory (materials, tools, supplies).

Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Ensure the warehouse is organized, safe, and compliant with company standards.

Oversee staging of orders for upcoming jobs and warranty service work.

Create efficient processes for inventory management to ensure fluid and smooth processes are in place for inventory needs.

Receive, inspect, and log all deliveries.

Prepare outgoing inventory, ensuring packaging, labeling, and documentation are correct by project.

Communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules, damages, or shortages, and returns done in a timely manner to ensure company credit.

Track and confirm purchase orders against received goods.

Organize materials by job/project for easy pickup by field crews.

Manage returns, restocks, and defective item processes.

Cook with the office team to forecast material needs.

Deliver materials, tools, or parts to job sites in support of field crews and warranty/handyman work.

Provide on-site support for urgent project needs.

Communicate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure materials are ready and available.

Maintain inventory control systems and generate reports as needed. Data entry kept up to date and managed properly in software and or tracking systems.

Assist with equipment and vehicle inspections, ensuring readiness for field use.

Support special projects or urgent tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or construction trades preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and ability to learn inventory software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to travel between multiple job sites.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
