Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and data to identify gaps in process that create inventory discrepancies, and outline plan with executable countermeasures that deliver improvement results.
- Perform root cause investigations for inventory and shipping discrepancies.
- Execute the mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization to achieve the vision of Schnellecke Logistics.
- Apply Core Business Technologies and/or central procedures to ensure the use of best practices in Schnellecke Logistics.
- Implement continuous improvement processes to create more solid and efficient procedures.
- Ensure all warehouse personnel comply with standard operating procedures, personnel policies, and workload demands.
- Manage resources (human, material, and automated) in operational areas to support production plan requirements.
- Direct processes within the business unit to meet goals of operation service level agreements with the client.
- Validate the plans of action of the operation to achieve the quality limits defined in the business unit.
- Communicate with Schnellecke Logistics and client management.
- Maintain a continuous focus on fostering a safe work environment.
- Practice safe work procedures and follow all safety rules at all times.
- Participate in all scheduled inventory days and/or ensure leadership coverage by direct reports.
- Develop, administer, and manage early warning indicators (EWIs) and KPIs.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Business Unit Director and Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics/operations experience in a leadership capacity.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with inventory and cycle counts.
- Knowledge of logistics shipping, receiving, and dispatch processes.
- Shop floor management experience.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications including MS Office (Excel & Outlook).
- Timely and quality processing of materials in area of responsibility.
- Filing and archiving of applicable paperwork.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a plant and office environment.
- Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, and vibration, as well as wet and humid weather conditions.
- Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time; bending and/or reaching may be required.
- Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the shop floor to prevent injury to self or others.
