Inventory Control Supervisor

Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities, will determine placement in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional financial awards. This role is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.

About the role

The Inventory Control Supervisor reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for the accurate receipt of all IP purchases, Fulfillment product, and component receipts. Additionally, this role oversees the storage, issuance, and disposition of all inventory purchased, manufactured, or supplied to the Fulfillment Department. The ideal candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Encore and Nulogy computer programs is helpful. The candidate must be punctual, accurate, detail-oriented, and possess troubleshooting and multitasking capabilities, along with previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains close relationships with customers, vendors, and carriers to facilitate and expedite orders.
• Collaborates with Fulfillment Production Personnel, Customer Service, and Manufacturing Production Personnel to ensure efficient order processing.
• Role models and communicates effective safety behaviors, including participation in the safety program and inspections.
• Maintains housekeeping standards in compliance with GMA Safe / Pac Secure.
• Oversees the inbound dock schedule to maintain efficient dock flow.
• Manages and ensures all receipts are entered accurately in Encore/Nulogy in a timely manner, including corrugated sheets, litho labels, and purchased product by lot/batch and expiry as required.
• Reviews all Fulfillment Production jobs daily and broadly communicates MRP status.
• Responsible for all product/component dispositions in the Inventory warehouse, including disposal or return.
• Manages and reports general warehouse inventory balances to customers and/or Customer Service.
• Supplies monthly Warehouse Inventory Reports to Accounting and Customers.
• Performs weekly and monthly cycle counts of Warehouse Inventory to achieve 99% accuracy.
• Identifies discrepancies and resolves issues in a timely manner.
• Ensures all operations in the area are carried out efficiently, consistent with customer quality requirements and IP SOPs.
• Carries out any other duties as requested by Management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment experience.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software.
• Strong understanding of inventory control practices, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

$69,500 - $92,600 per year.
