About the role

The Specialist Inventory Control supports the inventory control department by ensuring orders are received and scanned in for accuracy, dispensing locations are stocked and replenished, inventory levels are monitored and tracked, and a clean working environment is maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, validates, and stores incoming medications and supplies as per manufacturer recommendations and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and replenishes dispensing stations; monitors and tracks specified inventory levels.
  • Assists in receiving and putting away merchandise; assists in conducting physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Identifies shipment errors for product to be pulled from available inventory and returned; researches backorders and brand selection errors.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Performs other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willing and able to lift 40 lbs in repetitive motion.
  • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced production environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Active pharmacy technician license or certification as required by state Board of Pharmacy (preferred).
  • Intermediate-level skill in Microsoft Office suite of products (preferred).
  • 1 year of work experience in packing and receiving inventory (preferred).
  • Prior experience with drugs and packaging (preferred).
