About the role

Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy Fulfillment, you will play a central role in maintaining accurate, well-managed inventory to keep Mosaic's pharmacy operations efficient and audit-ready. Your work directly supports medically complex seniors by ensuring their medications are always available, so their care is never interrupted.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adequate on-hand quantities of all medications and supplies required for pharmacy operations.
  • Manages inventory parameters within the pharmacy dispensing system and coordinates NDC data between the dispensing system and Parata automation.
  • Assists in developing process guides for inventory management tasks.
  • Orders, receives, and processes inventory shipments from multiple wholesalers and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with expired medication policies and processes.
  • Recognizes, communicates, and escalates inventory management concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assists in coordinating and completing cycle counts at a frequency set by the PIC and Production Manager.
  • Supports the drug recall process, including checking inventory for recalled product and coordinating patient-specific recall management with the PIC and Compliance Manager.
  • Supports Manager of Pharmacy Fulfillment in conducting semi-annual and biennial physical inventories, partnering with Finance and Auditing teams during these audits.
  • Processes wholesaler returns for credit.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, including inventory management.
  • Licensed pharmacy technician in good standing with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening and stakeholder responsiveness.
  • Available to work an 8.5-hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET (exact shift confirmed at hire); some overtime required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy operations.
  • Experience with compliance packaging systems.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $26-$28.50/hr. Actual compensation within the range is determined by factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site in Sterling, Virginia. Available to work an 8.5-hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET (exact shift confirmed at hire); some overtime required.
