Inventory Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Track raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate inventory in an ERP/MRP system
  • Perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure materials are available and properly staged
  • Support kitting of jobs and projects
  • Cook with production leads to meet schedule requirements
  • Care for Kanban and pull systems
  • Apply 5S and lean manufacturing practices
  • Improve inventory workflows and storage methods
  • Aid with shipping, documentation, and inventory updates

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes, cycle counting, and material flow
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the production floor

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in welding, fabrication, or machining environments
  • Familiarity with metals or steel materials
  • Knowledge of material traceability
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in a small, hands-on production environment

  • Adaptable in a fast paced, hands-on environment

Work Environment

  • On site role in a production facility with welding, machining, and fabrication operations
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment (PPE required)
  • Collaborative, small team environment

The Inventory Control Specialist supports production continuity by ensuring material availability, maintaining inventory accuracy, and improving inventory processes.
