Inventory Control Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

• Track material and goods being shipped to vendors, between facilities, and out to sites.
• Aid with loading and unloading shipments, part collection and distribution, and mail and carrier deliveries.
• Store and stage area upkeep of the wire cage, yard, each individual bay, and warehouse.
• Ensure that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner for each area and the Kardex machine.
• Audit the facility’s entire inventory (warehouse, shop floor, and outside storage) including location of material, on a regular basis and provide weekly reports to management.
• Create and maintain training material for future inventory personnel.
• Report to management any problems, obstacles, or challenges and advise on process improvements.
• Perform weekly housekeeping of wire room and wire cage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment maintaining inventory
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Able to work weekends as assigned
• Able to meet physical demands required to perform essential job functions, with reasonable accommodations as applicable
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
• Regular use of hearing, speaking, grasping, and manual dexterity
• Able to work in warehouse or outdoor environments with exposure to varying conditions
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
