Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting
- Support Lean manufacturing principles by ensuring accurate inventory data
- Perform daily cycle counts using ABC classification or other Lean prioritization methods
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records; investigate root causes
- Ensure proper material location and labeling to support 5S and visual management principles
- Assist with physical inventory audits and participate in Kaizen events related to inventory accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely and in compliance with company standards
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless integration of inventory control processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management
- Provide training and support to team members on inventory control best practices and procedures
- Ensure accurate inventory records and transactions within the ERP system
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits to maintain data accuracy
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Generate and maintain inventory reports, metrics, and documentation
- Assist in improving inventory management processes and best practices
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- MS Excel skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing inventory processes including cycle counting, stock control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze inventory data
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with IATF / ISO16949 standards is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.) and basic Quality Standards
Qualifications
- Associate degree / Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with cycle counting programs and physical inventory audits
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with IATF / ISO16949 standards is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP, etc.) and basic Quality Standards
