Inventory Control Specialist

Duties And Responsibilities

• Includes but are not limited to the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Follows orders and completes tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs day-to-day inventory activities including receiving incoming material, cycle counts, part identification, and storage.
• Maintains accurate inventory records in the system, updating quantities and locations as needed.
• Strong communication skills to deliver technical information via email or spreadsheets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follows prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Keeps work areas clean and organized and takes proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Fulfills all company rules and policies.
• Fulfills all safety rules and quality standards.
• Upholds all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Skills And Qualifications

• Previous inventory experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field/position.
• Previous forklift experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods (plus).
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.

Work Environment

• Environment is not climate controlled.
• Limited control of heat and cooling, hot in the summers and cold in the winters.
• Loud industrial environment.

Physical Demands

• Walking, standing, kneeling, bending are required up to 90% of the workday.
• Light lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday.

Work Hours

• This is a full-time position.
• Work week is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts.
• Fridays will be required when production demand requires overtime.
