Inventory Control Specialist
About the role
Careerscape is supporting a client opening for an On-site Entry-Level Inventory Control Specialist. This role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, performing inventory audits, coordinating with warehouse teams, and supporting efficient inventory operations. Compensation
The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, organizational skills, analytical abilities, and client hiring needs. Additional compensation and benefits details will be shared during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Perform routine inventory counts and cycle audits
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Update inventory data in company systems
- Cook up inventory transfers between locations
- Aid in receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory
- Prepare inventory reports and performance summaries
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures
- Support warehouse process improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
- Perform additional inventory and operational duties as assigned
We’re looking for
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- 0–2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse operations, logistics, retail, or related roles
- A strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and inventory management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced on-site environment
- A professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
- The ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines
Nice to have
- Internship or entry-level inventory experience
- Familiarity with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices
- Experience with cycle counting or stock reconciliation
- An interest in supply chain management and logistics
