Inventory Control - Section Leader

About the role

The Inventory Control - Section Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, AL. This role oversees inventory control activities within a designated section, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely movement of materials, and adherence to company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring inventory transactions
• Coinciding physical inventory counts
• Reconciling discrepancies
• Supporting shipping and receiving operations
• Training and guiding team members
• Maintaining documentation and reports
• Collaborating with other departments to optimize inventory accuracy and material flow
• Contributing to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operation

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to oversee section-level stock accuracy and processes
• Experience with Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory to conduct counts, reconcile variances, and maintain reliable records
• Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving operations to support efficient material flow and proper documentation
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team, including training, task assignment, and performance guidance
• Comfort with using inventory systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred; leadership or supervisory experience is a plus

Requirements

• 2 - 4-year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field
• Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed
• Computer skills - Microsoft Office; GCCS/GPCS
