Inventory Control Manager

Responsibilities

  • Leading all inventory, warehouse, receiving, storage, material handling, and production material replenishment activities
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, efficient warehouse operations, and continuous improvement of inventory management processes
  • Supporting production schedules and customer commitments
  • Improving inventory control, warehouse organization, material flow, and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counting, audits, and reconciliation activities
  • Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and transaction errors
  • Monitoring inventory levels and collaborating with purchasing and production teams to ensure material availability
  • Analyzing inventory trends and recommending actions to minimize excess inventory and stockouts
  • Maintaining warehouse organization utilizing lean manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Developing and implementing improved storage methods to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment
  • Maintaining timely replenishment of production lines to support manufacturing schedules
  • Cooking and overseeing the proper receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials and components
  • Maintaining inventory transactions within the company's ERP system
  • Maintaining inventory reports, spreadsheets, and performance metrics
  • Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to analyze inventory performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Leading and developing warehouse and inventory personnel
  • Establishing performance expectations and providing coaching, training, and feedback
  • Promoting a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy
  • Participating in lean manufacturing, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Supporting company goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Maintaining safe operation of forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Conducting regular inspections of warehouse operations and storage areas
  • Supporting safety initiatives and participating in safety committee activities as required
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture throughout all warehouse operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or similar roles
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvements
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Ability to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
