Inventory Control Manager

Full-time position in Fort Myers, FL.

About the role

The Inventory Control Manager supports effective operations by performing compliance audits through verifying inventory management software, inventory reports, Point-of-Sales data, Sales Reports, patient information, batch tracking, manifests, harvest information, derivative product expiration dates, and live plant tracking data. Additionally, this role creates Audit Referral Reports to initiate next steps following the completion of initial audits and reports to the Director of Security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times.

• Coordinate with Security Manager, staff, and stakeholders in small group settings to execute the company mission statement and establish, update, and implement auditing procedures.
• Understand the complexity of compliance requirements governing the business, including regulatory agencies such as the Fire Department, City Zoning and Planning, and Department of Health.
• Read and interpret regulatory requirements and legal text to relay information to stakeholders.
• Ensure legal compliance with all regulatory requirements by researching, auditing, and verifying a variety of data.
• Perform research and coordinate with retail managers to gather information and verify reported data for compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and company policy.
• Adapt to a variety of working environments, including offices, and gather information from a range of employees.
• Access and update documentation using a variety of software applications and operating systems.
• Read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures and documentation accessed during audits and the verification process.
• Assist with completion and filing of work orders with the software manufacturer of inventory control or inventory tracking software.
• Perform daily audits of the following systems: inventory control software usage, Point-of-Sales data, inventory control software Sales Reporting, patient information, coupon usage, batch tracking, manifests, harvest information, edibles expiration dates, and live plant (clones) tracking.
• Complete Audit Referral Reports following daily audits to initiate next steps for Investigators, Auditors, and Management staff.
• Assist with employee training programs for inventory control software and Point-of-Sales systems.
• Coordinate with management staff of retail stores and cultivation facilities to troubleshoot inventory control software and Point-of-Sales system issues.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in any field preferred, with preference given to candidates with a Criminal Justice degree.
• Law enforcement, military service, or security experience preferred.
• Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policies and regulations of the Florida Department of Health and Sugar Maple Medical.
• Excellent computer, mathematical, language, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with current versions.
• Knowledge of medical cannabis laws, Department of Health and Human Services regulations, and HIPAA requirements; previous medical marijuana industry experience preferred, with priority given to candidates with experience in licensed facilities.
• High-level attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and highly organized.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• Must be able to work in an office environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Must be able to work off-site in retail, manufacturing, or production facilities with moderate to loud noise levels and changing working conditions; may require use of safety equipment or personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Regular local travel required, occasionally on short notice.
• Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to handle labor-centric work.
• Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time.
