Inventory Control Lead - Auburn
About the role
Manage physical daily cycle counts as well as research and correct inventory-related variances, while providing accurate data and reports with the use of Eclipse and/or Excel.
Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies from all areas of operations involving inventory control and returns.
Accountable for Job Site Clean-up Returns, Daily Returns, and RMA/RGA processing.
Correspond with Sales Writers regarding restock percentages and accurate customer credits.
Work with the returns team on Customer or Vendor RGA’s that require the involvement of the Inventory Control group.
Work with the Counter Team to facilitate timely and accurate returns of canceled orders and counter returns.
Serve as the primary responder and problem solver for return-related emails and inquiries.
Identify barriers to performance and assist management in identifying and analyzing root causes, while developing action plans to resolve issues.
Provide guidance, support, and problem-solving assistance to associates while promoting accuracy and process compliance.
Aid in system enhancements and process improvements, including recommending changes that improve inventory accuracy, return processing, and operational efficiency.
Maintain safe work practices while following company safety policies and guidelines.
Work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
Ability to operate a forklift or become certified to operate a forklift and other PIT equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT).
Proactive communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
High level of organization and strong follow-through on tasks.
Ability to motivate, foster teamwork, and provide positive reinforcement.
Team-oriented approach with excellent customer service skills.
Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, WMS (preferably Eclipse), and other relevant software applications.
Fluent in warehouse operations, inventory control, returns processes, and system workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Self-starter with a quality-focused approach and willingness to improve the knowledge and skill level of self and others.
Previous warehouse, inventory control, or returns experience preferred.
Complete Forklift Operator/PIT Certification within the first 5 days.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50+ lbs.).
Mix of warehouse and office work environments.
Frequent computer, phone, and scanner usage.
Usual 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evenings and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
Requires punctual and reliable on-site attendance.
Additional Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Pay & Compensation
This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime.
Pay is $24.42/hour - $30.53/hour, DOE.
