About the role
The Inventory Control Coordinator manages and optimizes inventory levels through effective PAR analysis to ensure efficient organization of storage rooms. This includes cycle counting, inventory maintenance, requisitioning, receiving, expensing, monitoring back orders, coordinating product changes, maintaining par levels, managing recalls in support of the Central Warehouse and Sterile Processing area for all UHS Hospitals locations.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels through effective PAR analysis
- Cycle count and maintain inventory
- Requisition, receive, and expense inventory items
- Maintain par levels and manage recalls
- Coordinate product changes and monitor back orders
- Maintain storage areas in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support Central Warehouse and Sterile Processing areas
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain
- Familiarity with clean supply storage standards for survey readiness and safety and regulatory standards for storage and inventory management
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
Qualifications
- 5+ years inventory management and purchasing function responsibilities
- Extensive medical product utilization knowledge
- Previous knowledge and experience working in a hospital setting
- Ability to generate, evaluate, and create actionable results that effectively forecast needs for supplies
- Strong time management skills
