As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will work cross functionally to ensure appropriate inventory positions to maximize revenue opportunities and inventory effectiveness. This position will work closely with demand planning and sales to gather all necessary information to place orders with suppliers and keep a sufficient supply in stock.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute strategic replenishment plan
- Collaborate with Demand Planning to determine current and historical trends in demand to ensure appropriate inventory position to maximize sales, inventory turns and gross margin
- Analyze replenishment historical trends to adjust system settings for store inventory
- Track incoming materials and insure on-time delivery
- Understand current trends and future plans, work with Demand Planning to adjust inventory and order strategy with field and regional teams
- Recognize and execute enhanced inventory practices with replenishment team members
- Support customer service on decisions relating to expediting product and data changes to prevent out-of-stocks
- Analyze inventory to increase or decrease projections-based inventory levels
- Project and plan replenishment to proper safety levels within each warehouse and facility
- Use supply chain strategy to optimize sales and inventory effectiveness for every item
- Participate in meetings by offering replenishment related information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience working within a manufacturing supply chain industry
- Associate’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of ER/MRP system such as MAPICS or equivalent software
- Knowledgeable with MS Office Suite, Advanced MS Excel
- Effective time management skills and the ability to organize and direct the quality of the work of teams amidst the demands of multiple projects and demanding internal and external customers
- Ability to work and handle multiple cross-functional teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to senior-level management, customers and suppliers
Qualifications
Preferred education: Bachelor of Science Degree with relevant operations and/or business field of study.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday. Also may determination be required to lift between 30 to 50 lbs.
Work environment: Standard Office Environment; potential of exposure of moving equipment
Travel: Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
