About the role

Millstone is a fast-growing, fast-paced medical service provider specializing in sterile and non-sterile packaging of medical devices for top Orthopedic companies. The company also performs mechanical inspection, assembly, and other outsourcing services to help medical device manufacturers reduce costs while maintaining high quality, accuracy, and timeliness. We are FDA and ISO registered and employ a detailed internal quality system to ensure ISO compliance.

The Inventory Associate assists the Supervisor with continuous improvements of all inventory related to the Millstone Distribution Center. Responsibilities include providing inventory information as needed, managing cycle counts, maintaining finished good levels, and general upkeep of product bins. This position includes visual inspection of medical devices and instruments, requiring the ability to detect defects with 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with continuous improvements of all inventory in the Millstone Distribution Center
  • Provide inventory information as directed by the Supervisor to ensure accuracy
  • Manage cycle counts and maintain finished good levels
  • Perform general upkeep of product bins
  • Conduct visual inspection of medical devices and instruments to detect defects
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic math and hardware knowledge
  • Ability to read and follow all department procedures
  • Knowledge and execution of compliance-related issues
  • Prior inventory control experience is required
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Experience operating Reach Truck and Forklift
  • 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision

Physical Demands

  • Standing for extended periods
  • Stooping
  • Light lifting (occasional lifting of 25 lbs or less)
  • Manual dexterity
