Inventory and Planning Master Data Leader - Transportation and Electronics Business Group
About the role
The Inventory and Planning Master Data Leader role provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. You will collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world, leading process improvement, execution, and governance for planning master data.
Responsibilities
- Tap into curiosity and collaborate with other 3Mers to make an impact by leading process improvement, execution, and governance for planning master data, including safety stock, lot size, lead time, and stocking status.
- Create and maintain business group inventory financial plans, including operating plans, monthly estimates, and reconciliation of actual results.
- Drive the inventory reduction strategy for the business group by establishing, coordinating, and overseeing cross-functional inventory reduction initiatives.
- Oversee processes related to surplus and non-working inventory, inventory build requests, and performance tracking against inventory targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Eight (8) years of combined experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, sourcing and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Three (3) years of combined experience in planning systems, master data management, and/or data analysis tools in a private, public, government, or military environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working with SAP and Kinaxis
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- ASCM certification, such as CPIM or CSCP
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to business outcomes
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and change management skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams

Pay & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is $221,591 - $270,834, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
Work Location
This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
Travel
May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
