Inventory Analyst

Nakupuna Services is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join a contract support team. This role supports Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) by performing inventory counts, researching discrepancies, and reporting findings to optimize Navy Working Capital Fund inventory processes and enhance accountability and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical first count inventories and limited second count inventories, including condition code assessment.
• Consolidate and deliver individual site inventory results to NAVSUP FLCs and site points of contact.
• Support perpetual inventory efforts as directed.
• Identify inventory deficiencies and conduct limited second count causative research.
• Ensure all required documentation (criteria, checklists, site visit results, discrepancies) is captured, consolidated, and provided to NAVSUP FLC representatives.
• Interact with site employees to clarify inventory locations, including discrepancies such as assets not found but reported, assets reported but not found, and condition code variances (e.g., Ready for Issue (RFI) vs. Non-Ready for Issue (NRFI)).
• Assist NAVSUP FLCs in maintaining operational inventory validity at a minimum of 98% per the site’s inventory plan.
• Participate in site-specific meetings to drive progress toward plan objectives.
• Communicate potential issues impacting contract deliverables or client mission to Na Ali`i project leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and on-the-job safety requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in a DoD or commercial warehouse environment, including inventory of on-hand assets.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good physical condition; ability to travel occasionally.
• Valid state-issued vehicle operator’s license.
• MHE (Material Handling Equipment) license desirable; operators must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate or proof of a recent medical examination.

Qualifications

The following experience levels are desirable:

• Two (2) years in DoD or commercial logistics, supply, or physical material inventory procedures.
• Experience with the Navy supply system.
• Familiarity with material part numbers, Navy Stock Number equivalence, and material condition codes.
• Active SECRET clearance and/or a current Common Access Card (CAC).

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and/or move parts up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for the majority of working hours.
• Ability to climb/scale ladders and/or manlifts to inventory parts on elevated shelves.
• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
• Frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, move, package, and count small objects.
• Wear a mask, depending on warehouse requirements.
• Occasionally carry items up to 20 lbs for up to 100 ft.
• Perform physical tasks in warehouses that may not be environmentally controlled (warehouse-dependent).

Military Installation Access

• Position resides on a military installation; must qualify for and obtain a base access pass.
• Must obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI), including an FBI fingerprint check.

Pay

The projected compensation rate for this position is $37.15 per hour. The rate reflects the typical market-based rate and is one component of Nakupuna Companies’ total compensation package.
