Inventory Analyst
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation
- Analyze inventory trends, shortages, excess stock, and inventory variances to support operational goals
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/MRP system
- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality to ensure material availability
- Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs for leadership
- Support inventory forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory optimization initiatives
- Monitor inventory transactions to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
- Auxiliary duties include supporting warehouse audits, FAA/AS9100 compliance requirements, and inventory documentation
- Ensure serialized, lot-controlled, and traceable inventory is maintained accurately
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED minimum. Recommended two or more years of experience with warehouse
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain experience
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Quantum, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, charts, data analysis)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, bin consolidation, and inventory reconciliation
- Knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and material flow
- Experience with KPI reporting and inventory performance metrics
- Familiarity with FAA, AS9100, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
