Intune Engineer
About the Role
This role focuses on hands-on migration of acquired company employees into the end-user computing environment, including workstation cutovers, mobile device onboarding, Microsoft 365 onboarding, application packaging, and user-facing migration support. The engineer will coordinate directly with incoming employees during scheduled migration calls, reset and enroll devices through Microsoft Autopilot, validate application functionality, and support users through the stabilization period following migration.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on workstation migration and cutover activities for acquired company users.
- Lead end-user migration calls to transition users from the legacy environment to the new environment.
- Reset and enroll workstations using Microsoft Autopilot rather than performing user profile migrations.
- Support Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint migration activities.
- Package, deploy, and validate applications required by acquired employees and business units.
- Identify legacy application requirements and help determine how those applications will function on devices.
- Support mobile device enrollment and onboarding activities.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 tenant onboarding activities in coordination with the Infrastructure & Messaging contractor.
- Support Teams and SharePoint migration activities in coordination with the Infrastructure & Messaging contractor.
- Coordinate hardware refreshes and device shipments when required by the acquisition plan.
- Troubleshoot user migration issues and escalate to endpoint, security, messaging, application, or infrastructure teams as needed.
- Create and maintain migration documentation, user-facing instructions, issue logs, and lessons learned.
- Provide post-migration stabilization and support for approximately 30-60 days after each acquisition cutover.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows endpoint migrations, deployments, or refresh projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Ability to work directly with end users during migration calls and cutover events.
- Ability to package or assist with deployment of business applications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Teams, and application access issues.
- Ability to follow migration runbooks, capture issues, and communicate blockers clearly.

Preferred Experience: M&A or acquisition integration support, end-user migration or device refresh projects, remote user support, application compatibility testing, documenting migration procedures and knowledge articles.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 per hour.
