About the role
St. Joseph’s College of Nursing invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach Introductory Sociology, a foundational general education course serving nursing and allied health students. The course emphasizes core sociological concepts, social institutions, culture, and social inequalities, with intentional connections to healthcare, public service, and patient-centered care. This role includes responsibility for developing a complete asynchronous online course aligned with institutional and Quality Matters–informed standards.
St. Joseph’s College of Nursing (SJCON) offers a single-purpose, hospital-based Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in Nursing. The College is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
