Intranet Programmer III

About the Role

Responsible for working with all areas of MOHELA to analyze application needs/problems and provide solutions through requirement analysis, system design and review, system architecting, and implementation. Generally able to lead and/or own significant and complex application projects.

Responsibilities

• Angular Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain user-facing applications using the Angular framework, focusing on responsive UIs, reusable components, and high performance. Collaborate with Business Users, BAs, and backend Developers to integrate APIs, write clean and testable code, and ensure seamless functionality that matches business requirements.
• SQL Server: Develop applications using SQL Server, encompassing the entire software development lifecycle. Skills include designing, building, and maintaining applications with SQL Server as the relational database management system, blending database management and programming.
• Application Design, Development, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting: Ensure standard development methods and procedures are employed and time commitments are achieved. Prepare project plans, schedule work assignments, and delegate authority. Develop clear, complete, and concise documentation for programs and systems. Conduct code reviews and assist in systems implementation and testing. Coordinate technical and business support to resolve systems problems and inquiries.
• Application Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor application status and perform administrative configurations to optimize response time and prevent unnecessary shutdowns. Examine custom applications for integration and compatibility. Research, estimate, modify code, test, and implement solutions to resolve application issues.
• Applications System Architecting, Information Security, and Review: Architect applications to ensure optimal performance, user experience, and high availability for mission-critical applications. Collaborate with IT information security and management to understand security requirements and follow industry best practices to safeguard Non-Public Information. Review applications and operational deployments to identify vulnerabilities and propose system improvements.
• Project Management: Adhere to project plans and timelines to ensure timely completion of projects. Provide time estimates, track statistical data, perform research, outline project tasks, and develop management reporting. Support less senior team members in preparing and executing effective project plans.
• Communications: Provide regular and timely project status updates to management. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders. Effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from a four-year college or university.
• 5+ years in technical design and development, with at least 3 years in Angular Framework development, testing, and deployment.
• Proficiency in Angular framework programming and SQL.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead team meetings and coordinate outcomes.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, constantly changing, priority-shifting environment.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to resolve architecting issues in application development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle DB experience.
• Preference for candidates that live within 1 hour of the MOHELA site.
