About the Role
The Radiology Interventional Technologist performs imaging procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment, focusing on vascular structures and therapeutic interventions. They exercise professional judgment, provide patient-centered care, and respond to patients' age-specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and related procedures using medical imaging techniques.
- Demonstrate vascular structures for interpretation or intervention at the request of licensed practitioners.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to medical ethics.
- Ensure appropriate patient care and recognize conditions affecting procedure success.
- Respond knowledgeably to patients and families across all age groups.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- California Radiologic Technologist certification.
- National Registered Technologist in Radiography and Vascular-Interventional Radiography.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- At least one year of diagnostic radiology experience.
- Proficiency in computer entry and word processing.
