Interventional Radiology Tech- St. Peters Hospital- FT Days
Responsibilities
- Abide by the Mercycare mission and values.
- Under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, perform all vascular/interventional procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment.
- Explain procedure to patient, position patient and equipment.
- Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
- Evaluates requests for appropriateness, refers concerns to coordinator and/or Radiologist.
- Selects appropriate technical factors for requested imaging exam.
- Absists in the instruction of student technologists and new personnel.
- Selects accurate post processing techniques in order to optimize vascular/interventional images.
- Maintains aseptic technique during procedures and scrub with physician.
- Accesses and interprets lab values and patient monitoring equipment.
Requirements
- AAS in Radiologic Technology (or equivalent hospital-based certificate program).
- Current NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
- Advanced certification in Cardiovascular/Interventional Technology preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: $38.45 - $53.86
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
