Job Summary

We are seeking a Special Procedures Tech Lead on a full-time basis. As our Special Procedures Technologist, you will operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography and cardiac catheterization (CC), as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status).

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree from a 2-year accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current ARRT credential; RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years licensed experience in Radiology to include at least one (1) year of IR experience
  • Angio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus
  • BLS required upon hire and ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and performs procedures and care in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures
  • Perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner
  • Absorb and administer contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Obtain high quality radiographic images; reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met
  • Obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure
  • Maintain effective communication with patient; provides explanation of procedures within scope of practice
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists
  • Be responsible for rotating call will be assigned
