About the Role

The registered nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, performing procedures requiring independent judgment, critical thinking, and technical skills. Flexibility with hours and cross-department support are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre and post-procedure care, including administering contrast and conscious sedation.
  • Maintain sterile technique, IV management, and patient preparation.
  • Ensure patient safety protocols and address age-specific needs.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
  • Collaborate with physicians for case reviews.
  • Maintain departmental records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support quality and safety initiatives.
  • Assist in cross-departmental tasks and staff training as needed.
  • Perform diverse clinical procedures with independent judgment.
  • Verify patient identification and orders.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU, CCU, ER, or Cath Lab.

Skills

  • Proficiency in moderate sedation, sterile techniques, and vascular procedures.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
