About the Role
The registered nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting, performing procedures requiring independent judgment, critical thinking, and technical skills. Flexibility with hours and cross-department support are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post-procedure care, including administering contrast and conscious sedation.
- Maintain sterile technique, IV management, and patient preparation.
- Ensure patient safety protocols and address age-specific needs.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
- Collaborate with physicians for case reviews.
- Maintain departmental records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Support quality and safety initiatives.
- Assist in cross-departmental tasks and staff training as needed.
- Perform diverse clinical procedures with independent judgment.
- Verify patient identification and orders.
- Respond effectively to emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU, CCU, ER, or Cath Lab.
Skills
- Proficiency in moderate sedation, sterile techniques, and vascular procedures.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies.
