Interventional Radiology Nurse Clinician

Role Summary

This position involves coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. It requires providing advanced clinical care in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment, utilizing independent judgment, rapid decision‑making, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedure assessments, ensure patient readiness, and provide education.
• Support procedures through circulating, monitoring, and procedural assistance.
• Manage airway, hemodynamic stability, and patient stabilization during interventions.
• Care for high‑acuity and complex patients, including trauma and emergent cases.
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and prioritization of cases.
• Respond swiftly to patient condition changes with advanced assessment skills.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement, program development, and departmental initiatives.
• Provide on‑call support as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency with interventional radiology equipment, sterile techniques, and emergency response.
• Ability to manage airway, monitor sedation, and stabilize patients during procedures.
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and in high‑acuity settings.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in dynamic environments.
• Technical proficiency in MS Office; EMR experience preferred.

Education & Experience

• BSN required; Master’s preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS and PALS certifications required; additional nursing certifications preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in procedural, critical care, or acute care nursing.
