Role Summary
This position involves coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. It requires providing advanced clinical care in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment, utilizing independent judgment, rapid decision‑making, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre‑, intra‑, and post‑procedure assessments, ensure patient readiness, and provide education.
- Support procedures through circulating, monitoring, and procedural assistance.
- Manage airway, hemodynamic stability, and patient stabilization during interventions.
- Care for high‑acuity and complex patients, including trauma and emergent cases.
- Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and prioritization of cases.
- Respond swiftly to patient condition changes with advanced assessment skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement, program development, and departmental initiatives.
- Provide on‑call support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with interventional radiology equipment, sterile techniques, and emergency response.
- Ability to manage airway, monitor sedation, and stabilize patients during procedures.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and in high‑acuity settings.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in dynamic environments.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office; EMR experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- BSN required; Master’s preferred.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- BLS and PALS certifications required; additional nursing certifications preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience in procedural, critical care, or acute care nursing.
