Role Summary

Provides advanced nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures in a high-acuity, dynamic environment. Responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive care across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases, utilizing independent clinical judgment and rapid decision-making. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care, including patient assessments, procedural support, and management of airway and hemodynamic stability. Supports operational needs such as patient flow and scheduling, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and may be involved in on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and patient education.
  • Support intra-procedural care, including circulating, monitoring, and managing emergent needs.
  • Provide independent clinical management of airway, hemodynamics, and patient stabilization.
  • Care for high-acuity, complex patients, including trauma and active bleeding cases.
  • Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and prioritization of cases.
  • Respond rapidly to patient condition changes with advanced assessment skills.
  • Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure quality care.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • BSN required; Master's preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in Ohio; BLS and PALS certifications.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in procedural, critical care, or acute care nursing; interventional radiology or emergency experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with interventional radiology equipment, sterile technique, and emergency management.
  • Strong collaboration, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with MS Office; EMR experience preferred.
