Jefferson Radiology is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to support our growing practice at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, with additional coverage across our outpatient sites and other hospital locations. Hartford Hospital is one of the largest teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers in New England with the region’s busiest surgery practice. About the role

This position is 80% Interventional Radiology and 20% Diagnostic Radiology, on-site Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a favorable call schedule. The role offers a one-year partnership track, opportunities for teaching and academic engagement through our onsite radiology residency program, and participation in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards for CME.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-end interventional radiology procedures, including:
    • Angiography
    • Embolization
    • Arterial Vascular Therapeutic and Surgical Type Procedures
    • Venous Catheter Procedures and Vascular Access Procedures
    • GI and GU Interventions
    • Ablation Procedures
    • PICC Lines
    • Paracentesis and Thoracentesis
    • Superficial and Deep Biopsies
    • Lumbar Puncture and Myelograms
    • Arthrograms
    • Abscess Drainage
  • Provide Level 1 trauma coverage (preferred)
  • Participate in Vein Center procedures (preferred but not required)
  • Engage in teaching and academic activities through our radiology residency program
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues and present at multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Radiology residency program
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship program
  • ABR or ABOR board-certified or board-eligible
  • ACLS certification required
  • Connecticut medical license required
  • 3+ years of attending experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered

Pay

Base salary of $650,000 with productivity incentives up to $1,000,000 annually. This position is also eligible for commencement and/or retention bonuses up to $100,000 collectively, as well as an annual discretionary bonus.
