Interventional Radiologic Tech - Interventional OR Suite - FT Days
About the role
The successful candidate will assist interventional radiologists, cardiologists, vascular surgeons, or other physicians in performing minimally invasive and invasive fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This includes complex vascular and non-vascular procedures such as cardiovascular, electrophysiology, endovascular, and neurological interventions.
Responsibilities
- Pre-procedural set-up and operating various radiology and support equipment
- Circulate and assist during the procedure
- Image archive management and documentation for supply management, billing, and procedural documentation
- Ancillary tasks/duties associated with delivering high-quality, safe, cost-efficient patient care
- Assist attending physicians, fellows, clinical nurses, and CVTs with all aspects of the procedure
Requirements
Must support the academic nature of the organization engaging in and supporting the teaching role and research. Must maintain a high level of decorum to maintain the collegial team approach needed to operate in this environment. Must be available to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends. Must be available for on-call assignments or alternate work schedules.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in a Special Procedure Radiology Setting or Cardiac Cath Lab Setting
- Current BLS certification
- CRT license/certification
- CDHP Radiologic Technologist Fluroscopy permit
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
- ARRT license/certification
- ACLS certification upon hire
Skills
Knowledge and practice of hemodynamic monitoring, pressures wave forms, EKG and radiology imaging. Experience working in more than one specialized radiology setting (CT, MRI, etc.). Experience with electrophysiology procedures. Experience in a wide array of interventional technology and possible applications as well as current generation fixed fluoroscopic equipment, 3D and virtual CT capabilities, and post processing.
