About the role

The University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join their Cardiovascular Division. The Heart Care Program in the east suburbs of the Twin Cities is looking to add an experienced interventional cardiologist to a highly collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Responsibilities

  • Join a multidisciplinary team of 22 cardiologists, including 4 interventional cardiologists, and 11 advanced practice providers
  • Provide a full spectrum of interventional cardiology procedures, including: Cardiac catheterization, Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), Balloon angioplasty, Atherectomy, Intravascular lithotripsy, Stent implantation, Therapeutic hypothermia, Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, ECMO
  • Contribute to one of the fastest-growing PCI, Structural Heart, and Electrophysiology programs in Minnesota and the Midwest
  • Play a key role in expanding and strengthening a high-growth coronary intervention program
  • Practice in a modern, state-of-the-art facility featuring four new cath labs with adjacent pre- and post-procedure areas
  • Utilize advanced hemodynamic support technologies to manage complex, high-acuity patients

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME cardiology residency and interventional cardiology fellowship training program
  • Board certified or board eligible through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
  • Able to obtain and maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota
  • Must meet all credentialing and privileging requirements

Pay

The full-time salary range is $500,000-$800,000 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
