Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join their team in the greater Portland, Maine area.

Responsibilities

• Perform coronary interventions with precision and expertise.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, research opportunities, and continuous professional development to advance interventional cardiology practices.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to the growth and development of interventional cardiology at Maine Medical Center (MH MMC-P).

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Eligible for or active Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Maine.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience in complex coronary interventions, involving plaque modification techniques, intravascular imaging, and MCSD.
• Preferred: Demonstrated engagement in clinical quality improvement and outcomes measurement.
• Preferred: Experience working in atertiary or academic medical center environment.
