Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is a 295-bed acute care hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, part of Lifepoint Health. The position supports two Interventional Cardiologists and three ARPNs in a recently established program with access to advanced technology and resources.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of 2 Interventional Cardiologists and 3 ARPNs
• Contribute to a regional market with access to state-of-the-art diagnostic and interventional equipment
• Provide comprehensive cardiology services including general adult cardiology, peripheral vascular disease management, arrhythmia management, pacemaker implantation, congestive heart failure management, and more
• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, coronary interventions, peripheral angiograms, and other procedures
• Utilize new technologies such as the GE Allia IGS system, 256-slice CT scanner with CTA capability, and new echo PACS system
• Collaborate with the Gill Heart & Vascular Institute at the University of Kentucky Healthcare

Requirements

• Current medical license in Kentucky
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
• Experience in interventional cardiology
• Strong clinical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of accredited cardiothoracic surgery residency program
• Completion of cardiovascular disease and/or interventional cardiology fellowship

Skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and diagnostic imaging systems
