About the role
At TES Academy, you will be a founding team member helping build the culture, programming, and student experience from day one. Your work will make a meaningful impact with students of all abilities through individualized, data-driven instruction and integrated therapeutic support.
Responsibilities
- Provide small group and one-on-one instruction to students needing extra support in reading, writing, math, and other skill areas.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning style.
- Partner with families, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure consistent communication and progress tracking.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA and all relevant state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Special Education credential and ODE license (or a General Education license with willingness to obtain IS license).
- Be committed to creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with students and families.
- Can adapt instruction to meet a wide range of student needs.
Additional Requirements
- Background check clearance (BCI/FBI).
- TB test within the last 12 months.
- Automobile insurance meeting 25/50k liability coverage.
- Access to mobile phone/email and basic internet if working offsite.
Work Environment
Primarily school-based with some varied settings (classrooms, resource rooms, small group areas). Moderate to high energy environment, with daily opportunities to engage, move, and interact. Collaboration with colleagues, students, and families who share a common mission.
