Intervention Specialist
Requirements
- Bachelors in related field with 1-year relative work experience
- Associates in related field with 2 years’ relative work experience
- Registered Behavior Technician with 4 years’ relative work experience
Position Details
- Provides behavioral modification support to the classroom
- Create and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans
- Engage in data collection, progress reporting, and provide classroom behavior modification techniques
- Work one-on-one or with group in school setting
- Able to pass and implement safety care training, as needed
- Recognize antecedent behavior, utilize de-escalation techniques, apply physical techniques when warranted for the safety of the student and others in proximity, and properly document all interventions
- Verbal processing of events and other therapeutic services as needed
- Follow Clinical guidance from certified clinician
- Co-facilitate group session with certified clinician
- Facilitate group session independently when certified clinician is not available
