About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist / SPED Coordinator to support students with diverse learning needs at one of our school campuses in Akron, OH. This role combines direct instructional responsibilities with program coordination to ensure compliance with special education requirements and the success of all learners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to student needs.
- Coordinate special education services across grade levels.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience with IEP development and program coordination.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
