Internship, Video Production, People Content (Fall 2026)

The Internship Recruiting Team at Tesla is passionate about recognizing emerging talent and providing opportunities for growth and development. The People Content team is currently seeking a Video Production intern to join their team in Austin, Texas.

About the role

This person will be responsible for designing and developing content that brings HR/People campaigns, policies, processes, and programs to life in memorable and meaningful ways. They will work closely with their Manager, Mentor, and team to support the business.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, film, direct, edit, storyboard, and produce content that effectively serves business needs and communicates the concept to stakeholders and collaborators
• Create and execute creative, organized, and detail-oriented projects
• Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to plan video shoots
• Identify and scout locations, secure permits, and maintain clear and consistent communication within the team and among all parties involved
• Create shortlists, shoot schedules, and call sheets
• Manage time and budget effectively for various production lengths, including one-day, one-week, and beyond, both locally and out of state

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Video Production or a related field
• Experienced camera operator, video producer, and photographer
• Strong understanding of post-production, including video editing, color grading, and transcoding media for final delivery
• Proficiency with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve
• A passion for Tesla's mission and a positive attitude with a bias for action and seeking feedback
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

• Pre-production and shoot planning experience
• Experience with drone operation is a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective time management and budgeting abilities
