About the Program
A.D. Makepeace Company’s Internship Program builds relationships with local schools, colleges, and universities to give students hands-on experience, apply classroom knowledge, and develop professional skills. The program is designed to complement formal education with career-related work.
Internship Options
- Cooperative employment: Experience-based learning for high-school students through paid, curriculum-related work assignments. Students alternate weeks—one week full-time school, one week full-time work.
- Summer employment: Work experience for college students in roles tied to their academic major during summer breaks.
- Academic employment: Work experience in major-related roles while the student remains enrolled in classes; hours are scheduled whenever possible.
