About the Role

Aerosonic is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Engineer Intern for our Clearwater, FL facility. This is an opportunity for a hands-on self-starter looking to develop a career in a dynamic aerospace company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, incorporating process improvements, equipment changes, and new regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including step-by-step guides for work instructions, visual aids, and routers.
  • Develop process flow diagrams to document the sequence of operations, workflows, and interactions between production stages, as well as process specifications detailing specific parameters.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design fixturing and update routers.
  • Work with automation and 3D printing technologies.

Requirements

  • Currently attending an accredited university for a degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Must be available full-time for six months.
  • Ability to work safely in and around an engineering environment.
  • Must be eligible to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction (U.S. person as defined by ITAR).

Skills

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in office support programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Solidworks (or equivalent CAD software).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Experience with 3D printing.

This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
