About the Role
Aerosonic is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Engineer Intern for our Clearwater, FL facility. This is an opportunity for a hands-on self-starter looking to develop a career in a dynamic aerospace company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, incorporating process improvements, equipment changes, and new regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including step-by-step guides for work instructions, visual aids, and routers.
- Develop process flow diagrams to document the sequence of operations, workflows, and interactions between production stages, as well as process specifications detailing specific parameters.
- Collaborate with engineers to design fixturing and update routers.
- Work with automation and 3D printing technologies.
Requirements
- Currently attending an accredited university for a degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Must be available full-time for six months.
- Ability to work safely in and around an engineering environment.
- Must be eligible to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction (U.S. person as defined by ITAR).
Skills
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in office support programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Solidworks (or equivalent CAD software).
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Experience with 3D printing.
