About the Role

This onsite internship at the NCSC Whitsett site offers the opportunity to support the systems used to manage manufacturing activity, production data, and product traceability. You will gain practical experience helping prepare manufacturing systems for new products and troubleshooting issues that affect production.

Responsibilities

  • Support the manufacturing systems used to manage production activity and product traceability.
  • Assist with database-management activities and internally developed manufacturing systems.
  • Support system setup activities for products entering production.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate manufacturing data and documentation.
  • Participate in process-improvement and production-support activities.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and technical teams.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn internally developed systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site 40 hours a week and support the assigned first- or second-shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or project experience involving computer systems, databases, manufacturing technology, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems, production controls, or product traceability.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience documenting or troubleshooting technical issues.
