International Undergraduate Admissions Evaluator

This employee plays a vital role in the international student admission and record maintenance process, evaluating academic transcripts, test scores, and relevant credentials. The position supports the Undergraduate International Admissions team in processing applications for the current admissions cycle and maintaining student records at the Main Campus in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating international undergraduate applications for the University of Utah Main and Online campuses.
• Respond to emails related to international undergraduate admissions.
• Provide customer service support at office windows and via phone calls regarding international undergraduate admissions.
• Process credentials related to international admissions.
• Monitor students' academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
• Manage daily work responsibilities and recommend process improvements to the supervisor.
• Provide administrative support to the international recruitment team in relation to application evaluation.
• Cross-train in other areas, including Utah Asia Campus undergraduate evaluations and other special projects as assigned.
• Communicate with students, departments, and on-campus partners to address inquiries about admission policies, documentation submission, and campus resources.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can substitute for two years of related work experience), with at least one year in an academic setting.
• Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
• Potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

• Foreign language skills are desired but not necessary.

Schedule

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
• Hybrid schedule: After 90 days and with management approval, employees may work up to three days a week remotely.
• Overtime may be available during peak application periods (November to March).
• This is an on-campus position based in Salt Lake City; remote work is not available initially.

Pay

$16.50 per hour.
