Undergraduate Admissions Evaluator
This employee assists in all aspects of the student admission and record maintenance process, including evaluations of academic transcripts, test scores, and other credentials. Prepares, verifies, and enters data into computerized student information systems. Manages student university records by performing clerical activities to maintain student files. Works with the Undergraduate Admissions team to process applications for the current admissions cycle and helps maintain student records. Corresponds with campus partners including students, parents, and other on-campus departments to answer questions relating to admission policy, submission of documentation, and connecting students to on-campus resources. This position does not include active recruitment of potential applicants.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating undergraduate applications for all University of Utah campuses.
- Respond to emails related to undergraduate admissions.
- Provide customer service support at office windows and via phone calls as it relates to undergraduate admissions.
- Process credentials related to admissions.
- Monitor students' academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
- Manage daily work responsibilities and recommend changes to supervisor to improve processes.
- May be cross-trained in other areas and assigned to assist with other special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
- College coursework in a related area is preferred.
- Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Pay
$16.50 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. This position is not remote; hybrid remote opportunities may be available after 90 days of employment.
