International Tax Senior Associate
About the role
The International Tax Senior Associate role is a national business line position. This role involves providing international tax services, collaborating with colleagues globally, and delivering solutions to clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Provide international tax services that deliver measurable value and advise clients on international tax matters.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on international tax projects; perform in-charge role as needed.
- Review complex business returns with international complexities and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
- Research and analyze international and domestic tax issues; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.
- Write and review tax advice for clients.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum two years' experience of progressive tax consulting, preferably with at least one year focused on international taxation.
- Experience with a large accounting firm, law firm, or corporate tax department of a multinational company.
- CPA or JD/active law license preferred.
- Advanced analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and consulting.
- Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.
- Exceptional client service skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
The base salary range for this position in Chicago, IL is between $111,320 to $123,420.
Schedule
This position requires in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a GT office or client site.
