About the Role

Due to growth, Bennett Thrasher is looking for an international tax senior associate. In this role, you'll work directly with Partners and Managers to lead, mentor, and coach team members in various areas of tax compliance and consulting engagements to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
Responsibilities
- Works effectively in teams to provide quality service to clients
- Identifies international tax reporting requirements for internal teams, prospective clients, and current client engagements
- Communicates appropriately (both verbally and electronically) with clients and firm associates
- Applies fundamental international tax concepts to compliance and consulting engagements
- Manages multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining precision
- Performs technical work such as GILTI/NCTI, FDII/FDDEI, and FTC calculations
- Conducts technical reviews of international forms (5471, 5472, 8991, 8992, 8993, 8858, 1118, 8865, etc.)
- Identifies and assists in client planning opportunities and consulting engagements
- Adapts to the changing international tax landscape, conducts research, and communicates changes to the team
- Maintains organized project management and copious note-taking
- Manages staff as needed
- Contributes to new ideas on internal processes and client engagements
- Communicates performance and obstacles to management
- Gives and receives feedback to improve performance
- Takes ownership of assignments for timely completion and professional development
- Leads discussions with peers, managers, and clients
- Demonstrates integrity, objectivity, and ethical standards
- Participates in industry and community networking events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or related degree; Master’s in Taxation preferred
- CPA license or actively working towards licensure
- 2+ years of international tax compliance experience
- Knowledge of outbound and inbound investment reporting
- Prior tax planning, restructuring, or consulting experience
- Strong research skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Proven time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
