About the Role

We are seeking candidates at a Manager or Senior Manager level specializing in International Tax to work out of our Northeast Ohio offices (Akron, Cleveland, and Wooster). This position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment and is responsible for assisting clients with complex international and domestic tax issues, providing high-quality and timely client services, and building solid relationships with clients and referral sources.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 8993, and other associated tax return disclosures, including calculation of earnings and profits, tested income, and foreign income inclusions.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry knowledge and experience, including managing teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects by providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance.
  • Build and manage client relationships across diverse industries, advising clients on the implementation of specific international tax structures and processes.
  • Research and prepare materials for consulting projects related to tax planning and considerations.
  • Represent clients in dealings with taxing authorities involving international tax issues.
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college/university (preferably in accounting, tax, or a related field).
  • 5+ years of related public accounting experience.
  • CPA certification preferred but only required for the Senior Manager level.
  • Extensive experience with international tax matters, trends, developments, and concepts such as Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits, and U.S. international tax attributes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships and participating in strategic planning initiatives.
  • Ability to manage, train, and mentor others in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Proven business development abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Pay

Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $100,000 and $170,000. Additionally, the firm offers a generous incentive program, various bonus opportunities for exceptional performance, and discretionary year-end bonuses for senior managers.
