Position Overview

Join our team in helping students from around the world experience a Christ-centered education at Mannahouse Christian Academy. As the International Student Program Coordinator, you will oversee our international student program by supporting recruitment, admissions, student success, and host family relationships while serving as a key connection between students, families, agents, and our school community.

Purpose & Summary

The International Student Program Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, admissions, re-enrollment, communication, and oversight of all international student placements at Mannahouse Christian Academy, including part-time, full-time, and group enrollments. This role coordinates host family recruitment and placement, organizes international student programs and activities, and fosters meaningful relationships with students, parents, host families, educational agents, and school staff.

Serving as the primary liaison between families, agents, students, host families, and MCA staff, this position ensures a welcoming, compliant, and Christ-centered experience for every international student while supporting their academic, social, and spiritual success.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and time management skills

  • Proficiency with databases, Microsoft Office, and other software applications

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, agents, host families, and staff

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities

  • Knowledge of issues pertaining to international students

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and student activities

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with international student admissions or program management

  • Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)

Reporting Relationship

Reports directly to the Director of Business Development.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and re-enrollment for international students using the FACTS Student Information System

  • Respond to inquiries, evaluate prospective students, and guide families and agents through the admissions process

  • Coordinate visa documentation, I-20 issuance and transfers, and serve as the Primary Designated School Official (DSO) while maintaining regulatory compliance

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, educational agents, local coordinators, host families, and school staff

  • Recruit, evaluate, place, and support qualified host families while fostering healthy student-host family relationships

  • Maintain accurate records for student files, inquiries, agents, host families, and enrollment forecasting

  • Coincide timely billing and payments between families, educational agents, host families, and the school

  • Develop quarterly newsletters and oversee marketing materials—including brochures, videos, and social media—to support international recruitment efforts

  • Utilize effective marketing strategies to recruit new students and develop relationships with educational agents

  • Participate in Administrative Team, Development Team, and other school meetings as needed
